The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance

The young golfer will have plenty of prominent supporters as she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates several international courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she revealed.

Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa essentially advised me to play and have fun," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has competed in only three events in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

However she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.

"He stands as the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.

"And he's an even better person. He suggested me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."

She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to wider groups, particularly among younger fans.

The social media influencer maintains a massive following and has started her own clothing and lifestyle company.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
